My heated floor upgrade is not going well
I am wondering if I will get a discount too
After a bit of research online I determined that I was more than capable of installing our own radiant floors. I think that I detach the flooring, place the electric heated mats down and then cut, grout and place down current tile. It would take a long time, however it would be done all by our hand and perfect. I did not realize how strenuous it would be to take up our floor. Whoever lived in the house before was a fan of just setting a current floor on top of an seasoned one. I have been taking a sledgehammer to our floor and uncovering another layer. I have gone from black and white tile, to pink tile, to purple laminate, to wire mesh and then the final wood boards. The wire mesh is entirely the worst thing ever too. I have to use wire cutters in order to detach them and it slows down production. I haven’t gotten all our floors up yet and I am about done. I am sad the heating upgrade is going to be harder than I thought too. What if setting a current tile on top goes as bad? I don’t want to wait 6 weeks before having heated flooring. It might be worth calling in a professional to just do all the upgrade work. I am wondering if I will get a discount too. I started the project and I have all the meratials. It should not cost the same as someone who needs everything done. Maybe I could work alongside the Heating and A/C corporation too.
