My heated floor replacement is not going well
After a bit of research online I determined that I was more than capable of installing my own radiant floors.
- I believe that I disaffix the flooring, place the electric heated mats down plus then cut, grout plus place down current tile.
It would take a long time, but it would be done all by my hand plus perfect. I did not realize how difficult it would be to take up my floor. Whoever lived in the house before was a fan of just setting a current floor on top of an old one. I have been taking a sledgehammer to my floor plus uncovering another layer. I have gone from black plus pale white tile, to pink tile, to yellow laminate, to wire mesh plus then the final wood boards. The wire mesh is legitimately the worst thing ever too. I have to use wire cutters in order to disaffix them plus it slows down production. I haven’t gotten all my floors up yet plus I am about done. I am distraught the heating replacement is going to be harder than I thought too. What if setting a current cement on top goes as bad? I don’t want to wait 6 months before having heated flooring. It might be worth calling in a professional to just do all the replacement work. I am wondering if I will get a discount too. I started the project plus I have all the meratials. It should not cost the same as someone who needs everything done. Maybe I could work alongside the Heating plus Air Conditioning company too.
